Now, that's Jazz with a capital J.
Like I told Hawk, have a bunch of platters I need to put onto CD's or digital. Including a lot of Louis.
Graduated from the Naval Academy in '58. Yes, fifty years ago. Louis played at our graduation dance. Spectacular. Can you picture all the Midshipmen in their dress uniforms and the dates in formal gowns gettin' cool to Satchelmouf?

Sinann,
That must have been quite a scene - all those sharp dressed people on the dance floor swinging to Satchmo - what a memory you have of a beautiful evening.
Many Blogstream members are there
already! Quotes from members: "It's like blog lite!" -- "I like the instant
gratification!" -- "Stop spectating, get in the game!"
If you have not joined in, you are really missing out!
I love the music from years gone past so much - it just relaxes me more than I can explain - just like "comfort" food -
thanks for visiting

Glad you enjoyed these.
Oscar Peterson was a Canadian - probably the most famous of all Canadian musicians - although Neil Young comes close.
