Well, I went to work this morning - I went early as we had a meeting from 9:30 AM to Noon.
Fortunately, even though I am the chair of the meeting, my supervisor's work was our agenda so she took charge of this effort. While drinking lots of water, I was able to make a go of it.
After a nice lunch at a Mexican restuarant, during which we learned more about the plans about my department (see blogs about looking for a job for more background), we had a 3 hour training on counseling the elderly. I managed to stay awake through most of this training. Thank goodness I wasn't the one doing the training....
I called back to my office to find out I had a new client at 5 PM. When I got to the office, the numbers had grown to 2 new clients. I was looking forward to a more relaxing evening - when another client who wasn't on my schedule showed up. As we have known each other for years (he reminded me how long we have known each other tonight - 25 years!), we were able to work through his agenda quite easily.
Now I am waiting for my staff to wrap up their sessions so I can go home and get there before the 10 o'clock news comes on!!!

I am elderly and need counselling. How can I make my decapitated retirement fund make it through my retirement? Where is the best place for the homeless to set up home?
I am still at the same job I have been at for the past 10 years - I was given better clarity as to the stability of my job yesterday - which lets me rest a little more comfortably.

Lots of elderly are looking for counseling related to how they feel about their diminished financial resources and status. I hear some people are moving in with their children - which is causing the children to seek counseling :)....

That would be nice - getting extra compensation when working under the duress of a head cold!
isn't it cruddy!!! i can't stand how miserable I feel!!!!
This morning I woke up with laringitus - of course, there are some people who are probably rejoicing over that thought!
